This couple was certainly one for the books. Having filmed a number of their friends’ weddings, I had a pretty good grasp on the type of people these two are. I wanted to create a film that showcased their personalities, both playful and fun but also sentimental.
The film opens with a nostalgic flashback, an outdoor sky as the groom talks about their first date watching the stars. As well as a collage of old photos I pulled from some light instagram stalking — plus their legendary (and viral) tiktok “last day of independence.” Which is not what typically comes to mind for a bachelorette – a celebration in full 1776 attire.
The film weaves between funny and tear jerking moments, with a mix of cinematic music and a soft rock christian song, a subtle nod to their deep faith.
